Hey there beautiful Working Mamas, my name is Jacqueline Farkas, I am a Working Mom, Founder and Marketing Consultant at Working Mamas Community. I live in North San Diego, California with my husband, almost 3-year-old son and our 5-year-old French bulldog. I’m an extrovert, Enneagram Type 1 (I thrive on connecting with others) a creative, foodie, and am a huge go getter!
Today, I would like to share the beginning of my Working Motherhood journey and how becoming a part of a fitness community has empowered me to be the mother I am today. During the past few months, I have worked a lot on self-development and self-reflection. My belief is that motherhood consists of both physical and emotional strength, with your children and yourself. As mothers, we each have our own unique strengths, weaknesses, and story to tell. My fitness journey inspired me to show up in my all areas of my life with strength. One of my personal goals was to follow a consistent fitness routine. When I was 6 months post-partum, I began to rebuild my fitness routine. I decided to join a digital fitness community, the Peloton Community.
The Peloton Community provides live and on-demand fitness classes with fun, energetic and motivating fitness instructors. My main purpose for joining was to participate in flexible at home workouts in the comfort of my own home. After two weeks back into exercise, I started to regain some of my energy. I started out slow and began with a low impact fitness routine of 2-3 workouts per week. Two months went by and I continued to build my strength physically and emotionally. I was ready to progress up to the next level which was Intermediate level. I had my good days and bad days just like anyone does but bottom line, I stayed consistent and gave it my all during each of my workouts. Some days would be more challenging than others however, the energy and motivation that the Peloton Community provided helped me learn to trust my body and love myself just the way I am.

When it comes to taking care of ourselves, we often feel mom guilt and don’t integrate enough fitness and self-care into our lives. Fast forward to present day, I have had multiple sources of inspiration that have helped me stay consistent with my fitness routine for almost 3 years now. I have completed 503 cycling rides, 81 strength workouts and lost 25+ lbs. Not only have I gained physical strength, but also self-confidence, that I did not believe was possible. I believe fitness is an essential form of self-care. My fitness routine with the Peloton Community has been the most incredibly rewarding experience and I continue to be proud of my accomplishments both on and off my cycling bike. Having a consist fitness routine has made me a stronger mom from the inside out, motivated me to show up in tough mom-life moments and helped me live a balanced life. I encourage you to find a fitness community that encourages you to show up in all aspects of your life, the sky is the limit!
With Strength and Self Love,
